Kids Candy Apple Making, A Visit To The Apple Orchard

Every fall we make our way to Mountain Orchards to pick apples, enjoy a wagon ride, play in the corn maze and hay jump, and of course to eat the most amazing fresh and warm cider donuts ever!!

We visit the orchard every year with friends and family to pick apples. This is such a fun tradition.

What did we do with some of those apples...
we made candy apples!

This was a ton of fun. The kids were able to do almost everything but the cooking of the candy, because it is so dangerously hot!!

They added the mix, sugar, water and did all of the pre-cook mixing.

Washing apples...

Putting in the sticks. This was a tough job, so Ava used a hammer from their work bench 💓

 Drying the apples for dipping...

The kids dipped and spooned the candy over the top of a few apples. You do need to work quickly at this point, and again for safety we finished them off.

This is such a big part of our fall fun!!
I hope you are all enjoying the season!!
