Montessori Addition Snake Game

Xander is playing the Elementary Addition Snake Game here.
We started out playing the Snake Game  Search for Ten - in Primary.
This was a great game for development of concentration and accuracy,                                            while practicing addition facts.

Checking his work

I made our mat with two pieces of dollar store felt and yes duct tape 😄

Xander's version of the Snake Game

This is obviously not the traditional setup for the Snake Game. Xander decided to change things up a little from the usual snake layout.

Above he is creating a Star Wars - Star Destroyer 😃
This was interesting to watch him lay out, and to decide which bead bars he would do the addition work with.

Working away...

Success!!

Later he built a tiny Millennium Falcon 😃

So excited!!
What Did We Do All Day has a wonderful video fully explaining the game here.

UPDATE: Since this post we have created the entire collection of Snake Games in Printable form to accompany all the entire collection of Tables work. You can visit our Printables Store to take a look.
